True, my travels in Mexico thus far have only been to the well-touristed beach towns of Cabo San Lucas in the west and Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula in the east, but I enjoyed the culinary traditions and variations between the two.

Cancun – My visit to Cancun was eye-opening. Prior to booking my trip there for TBEX North America’s 2014 conference, I had imagined it all as a “party party” Spring Break destination full of all-inclusive resorts, tequila body shots and gringo restaurants like Senor Frog’s. After, I’m ready to admit that I was wrong – Cancun is truly worthy of being seen as a Culinary Destination. Here are a few of the highlights from my (first, hopefully not last!) trip to the region:
- Culinary Cancun
- Where to Eat in Cancun: Benazuza
- Where to Eat in Cancun: Ramona (photos)
- Where to Stay in Cancun: Moon Palace Golf & Spa Resort
- Day Trip from Cancun: Chichen Itza (photos)
